We are looking for a driven Operations Intern with a basic understanding of supply chain, logistics, and business operations principles who is ready for an immersive, real-world experience. Under the supervision of our staff, the Operations Intern can expect to track and analyze operational data, support inventory and order fulfillment workflows, coordinate with cross-functional teams and partners, document and improve processes, and assist the Operations staff with other day-to-day activities. If you are a motivated team player who can maintain efficiency and accuracy when multitasking, we encourage you to apply! This internship offers a year-long hybrid work schedule in Lehi, Utah. During the summer months the role is full-time, but will transition to part-time during the academic year.
What does a typical day look like for an Operations intern?
-
Working side by side with the Operations Business Intelligence Analyst on reporting and analysis requests, and shadowing other members of the Operations department to see how their work connects to the data
-
Pulling, cleaning, and validating operational data from multiple sources (spreadsheets, internal systems, and marketplace and fulfillment partner data), and maintaining accurate and complete operational records
-
Building and refreshing weekly and monthly reports, dashboards, and spreadsheets that track key metrics such as inventory levels, order status, shipment timeliness, and fulfillment accuracy
-
Monitoring inventory, orders, and shipments across marketplaces and fulfillment partners, spotting anomalies and trends in the data, and flagging issues to the right owners for follow-up
-
Digging into ad hoc questions from Operations team members (for example, "why did on-time shipments dip last week?") and presenting what you find in a clear, concise summary
-
Documenting reporting logic, data definitions, and processes so that others can understand and reuse your work, and identifying opportunities to automate manual tasks and improve efficiency and accuracy
-
Owning a small project or analysis during your internship and sharing your findings and recommendations with the Operations team
-
Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about ecommerce operations, business intelligence, and supply chain management
What will I need to thrive in this role?
-
Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
-
Possess an understanding of operations, supply chain, and business principles and a positive attitude
-
Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets, including comfort with formulas, pivot tables, and lookups, and an ease working with large data sets
-
Familiarity with SQL or BI and data visualization tools is a plus; a strong interest in learning them is a must
-
Natural curiosity and an analytical mindset: you ask "why" when numbers look off, and you check your work before you share it
-
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy when working with large volumes of data
-
Demonstrate collaboration, trustworthiness, receptiveness to feedback, and eagerness to learn
-
Demonstrate strong organization and communication skills, including the ability to explain data and findings clearly to non-technical teammates, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
-
Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity
-
Learn to work as part of the Operations team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or client.
What does high performance look like?
-
You follow through with all assignments in a timely manner
-
You give 100% to all tasks and projects assigned to you
-
You take full ownership of your projects and follow through to completion
-
You spot issues early and bring forward solutions, not just problems
-
Your data and reports are accurate, well documented, and trusted by the people who rely on them
-
You go beyond the numbers: you tell the story behind the data and recommend a clear next step
-
You proactively look for ways to automate or simplify recurring reports and manual work
-
You ask thoughtful questions, seek out feedback, and apply it quickly
What is my potential for career growth?

This role will provide opportunities for mentorship and networking. You will build hands-on experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and ecommerce operations that translates directly to careers in operations, analytics, and supply chain. Additionally, outstanding performance during the internship could potentially lead to a full-time position within the company.
What is the team like?
You will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager, who will serve as your manager and mentor, meeting with you regularly to set priorities, review your work, discuss your performance, and provide guidance. You will also collaborate closely with full-time Operations team members and leaders, whom you will partner with on the reports and analyses that help them run their day-to-day work.
