What It's Like:
We are looking for a highly motivated, technically strong, proactive self-starter with exceptional ownership and execution skills. The ideal candidate demonstrates high agency, intellectual curiosity, rigor, and tenacity. They should be comfortable operating in ambiguity, following the breadcrumbs to uncover information, connecting the dots across complex systems, and independently driving work forward.
The candidate should be self-organized, resourceful, and willing to go beyond assigned tasks to solve problems. We value individuals who take initiative, ask thoughtful questions, learn quickly, and demonstrate a strong bias for action.
This is not a traditional product management internship focused solely on gathering requirements or coordinating activities. We expect the individual to develop a deep technical understanding of complex enterprise systems, contribute to solution designs, identify cross-platform dependencies, and help drive meaningful initiatives from business discovery through technical design and delivery
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand business objectives, customer pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze business processes, identify gaps, and recommend technology-driven solutions.
- Develop a strong understanding of complex enterprise architectures, platforms, integrations, and system dependencies.
- Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to create high-level solution designs (HLSDs), system flows, and technical documentation.
- Understand end-to-end data flows, APIs, integrations, and the impact of proposed changes across multiple platforms.
- Evaluate technical feasibility, identify dependencies, and contribute to scalable, sustainable solution designs.
**End-to-End Initiative Ownership**
- Take ownership of a defined initiative, with guidance and mentorship, from initial business discovery through solution design and delivery.
- Drive clarity across requirements, technical designs, dependencies, and execution milestones.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business, Product, Architecture, Engineering, and Quality Assurance.
- Proactively identify risks, resolve open questions, follow through on dependencies, and help remove blockers.
- Support testing, validation, and delivery readiness to ensure solutions meet business expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Technical Product Management, or a related technical field.
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, system design, and application architecture.
- Ability to analyze complex technical problems and understand how systems interact.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Demonstrated initiative, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to technical product management, systems analysis, or solution architecture through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
- Familiarity with APIs, microservices, distributed systems, databases, and enterprise integrations.
- Experience creating architecture diagrams, process flows, technical specifications, or solution designs.
- Understanding of Agile software development and the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle.
- Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What Makes You Successful:
We are looking for someone who demonstrates:
- High Agency & Ownership: Takes initiative, independently drives work forward, and is accountable for outcomes.
- Technical Curiosity: Enjoys understanding how complex systems work and how different platforms connect.
- Comfort with Ambiguity: Can navigate incomplete information, follow the breadcrumbs, ask the right questions, and create clarity.
- Rigor & Tenacity: Demonstrates attention to detail, structured thinking, persistence, and a strong commitment to quality.
- Bias for Action: Proactively identifies next steps, solves problems, and follows through to completion.
- Strong Communication: Can translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable discussions with business and engineering stakeholders.
What You Will Gain:
- Hands-on experience delivering a real, high-impact initiative within T-Mobile for Business.
- Exposure to large-scale enterprise systems, complex technical architectures, and cross-platform integrations.
- Practical experience translating business problems into technical requirements and solution designs.
- Mentorship and collaboration with experienced technical product managers, architects, and engineering leaders.
- An opportunity to build end-to-end product ownership, technical leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.
Our ideal candidate is a technically curious, highly motivated self-starter who is eager to learn, comfortable tackling challenging problems, and excited to turn complex business needs into impactful technology solutions.
