Manufacturing Simulation Intern at Oshkosh

About JLG, an Oshkosh company

JLG began in 1969, when our founder, John L. Grove set out to resolve growing safety concerns in the construction industry. Since then we have been committed to understanding the challenges and delivering innovative solutions to the access market. We partner with customers to provide quality equipment, training opportunities and trusted support within the access industry. We are a global company, and our products—including mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, utility vehicles and accessories—can be found all over the world.

Assist the Manufacturing Engineering department in successfully achieving manufacturing goals and contributing to simulation and continuous improvement efforts. The Manufacturing simulation Intern will receive assignments from the Manager of Manufacturing, or an assigned representative, and will be encouraged to contribute ideas and suggestions.

Analyze cycle times, station configurations, and operator movements to support assembly line balancing and optimize plant throughput.
Work with real-time industrial sensor and PLC data to feed live operational inputs into your simulation models and custom Ignition dashboards.
Use AutoCAD or similar CAD tools to create and revise 2D/3D plant layout drawings to support simulation setup and material flow planning.
Research, test, and champion new digital factory tools and automation technologies to keep our manufacturing facility at the cutting edge.
